Shampoo and Conditioners - Choosing Right Conditioner for your Hair Type

Choose the Right Shampoo:-

Choose your shampoo depending on the kind of scalp and hair you have.

Normal hair:-

Your hair is normal, if your hair and scalp end the day feeling and looking pretty much the same way they did in the morning. Then you can use any shampoo. Shampoos for normal hair are typically gentle and won't strip natural oils from the hair and scalp. Look for one with a pH that matches the skin to avoid drying. In the normal hair scalp, you need to shampoo your hair twice a week.

Oily hair:-

The main reason of the oily hairs, is the presence of wide number of sebaceous glands on your scalp. An oily hair, often requires a shampoo once or more each day to avoid a greasy look.

The best way to get rid of oily hair, is to choose a tea tree oil shampoo or one with menthol as a ingredient. These shampoos will remove oil gently.

For oily hair, choose a light conditioner. Apply the conditioner to your palms and fingers and touch it to the ends of your.

Dry hair:-

You have the dry hairs, if your scalp has a tendency to feel tight and itchy, particularly after you shampoo and dry your hair. Dry skin is caused by an absence of natural scalp oils. So, it will be better for you to use moisturizing shampoo. These shampoos add the moisture to your hairs and scalp, which is dry.

For dry hairs, it will be good to follow your shampoo with a "leave-in" conditioner.

How to Choose the Right Conditioner for Hairs:-

The following tips are useful in choosing the right conditioner for your hairs. These includes:-

  • Look for rich, moisturizing conditioner if hair tends to get extra dry or frizzy.
  • Use a volumizing conditioner if your hair is limp and fine.
  • Healthy and shiny hair needs only a conditioner made for normal hair.
  • Use leave-on conditioners at least once a week. Use it in the shower and rinse immediately if the hair is fine but for drier hair, leave it longer.
  • If there are no conditioners available anymore, or just to avoid chemicals for a change, natural conditioners like mayonnaise or olive oil can be used as a substitute.

If you're out of conditioner, or you want to avoid the chemicals in commercial conditioners, try using natural conditioners like mayonnaise or olive oil.
